The European buy-side trader: A profile for tomorrow

In April 2007, some 1200 professionals from all over the globe converged on Le Palais des Congrès in Paris for a remarkable conference organised by TradeTech Europe, called: “Accessing Global Liquidity in a Rapidly Changing Marketplace.” On UBS’s behalf, TABB Group conducted electronic polls of those delegates throughout the conference. They were asked about the potential impact of MiFID on their business, what they wanted from their brokers and service providers and which of the myriad issues having an impact on the European marketplace were most likely to keep them awake at night.
