Managing financial regulation changes in reference data

What is the impact of the new regulation to your business? How much is it costing you? How will it change your business processes? Are you prepared?

FIMA Regulation is designed to give you answers and a chance to debate the challenges facing the reference data community with respect to regulation. There are 4 types of sessions that will provide you with the answers, strategies and the opportunity to voice your opinion on such matters as MiFID II, Dodd Frank, Solvency 2 and others:

• Updates and panel discussions with the regulators: you will hear from your regulators on the latest initiatives, time-scales for the regulation becoming law, and guidelines for complying. You will be able to join a debate with the regulators to voice your opinions, and suggest changes to the proposed initiatives. Talks from the FSA and the European Commission will open the conference.

• Case Studies From Your Peers: a number of sessions dedicated to showing you proven strategies and ideas for regulatory compliance. Your peers, the reference data managers from other financial institutions, will give you their strategies for coping with MiFID II, Solvency 2, Dodd Frank, FATCA, UCITS, AML and many other financial regulation initiatives. You will get a chance to question them and find those valuable strategies that will help you get over the UK financial regulation challenge with minimal cost and penalties from the regulators. Case studies from the following speakers will form the basis of the day: HSBC, Citi, M&G, Blackrock, RBS, UBS, Deutsche Bank, ECB, J.P.Morgan

• Opinions and Ideas from the Experts: a number of experts have been invited to give talks on the impact of financial regulation on your business, on the future of financial regulatory environment and on how it is likely to change the reference data management community. These presentations will be designed with you in mind. They are not just a general set of talks from the experts, but will address the reference data challenges, opportunities and future developments in light of the current regulations. You will not find this type of detailed analysis elsewhere.

• Panel Discussion with your Vendors: this session was organised to give you a chance to question your data vendors and to find out what they are doing to make your job of regulatory compliance easier and more cost effective. You will be able to hear from a number of solution providers who will outline their plans for product and pricing changes, as well as question their business principles and plans. Given the close relationship of the providers with you and your peers, this is an invaluable opportunity to join forces and work on the regulatory challenge together.
