IPO Survey:
Industry Barometer

Executive Summary
The BATS and Facebook initial public offerings experienced major difficulties that brought attention to shortfalls in current technology and regulatory infrastructure around the entire IPO process. In the wake of both disasters, TABB Group created a

series of questions designed to help gauge the current industry opinion on both IPOs. This study provides further clarity as to the industry’s confidence in the market, what went wrong, who should be held liable and what should be improved.

Results are based on responses from 175 market participants including investment management companies, hedge funds, brokers, exchanges, alternative trading systems, liquidity providers and others.
