Nuno Lima da Luz has been a lawyer for a decade. He joined Cuatrecasas in March 2021, where he is now a Senior Associate.

A specialist in advising clients on emerging technologies, he has been focusing his expertise on blockchain and cryptoassets. He has been advising start-ups and financial sector businesses on setting up cryptoassets-based commercial activities, mainly on assessing the implementation of this technology in their products and services, drafting and negotiating strategic commercial agreements, analysing regulatory issues regarding cryptoassets usage and distribution, as well as advising clients in VC rounds of investment where cryptoassets are involved.

He is the current chair of Associação Portuguesa de Blockchain e Criptomoedas, the first Portuguese blockchain and cryptoassets association founded in 2017. Nuno also represents APBC in FACE (Portuguese Federation of the Cryptoeconomy Associations), having promoted several public and private initiatives such as promoting within the Portuguese Government a taxation framework that is considered as one of the most competitive ones in the European Union.
