Renata K. Szkoda is the Chief Financial Officer at INX (NEO:INXD, OTCQB:INXDF), a regulated trading venue based in the U.S. offering security tokens and digital assets, and an issuer of the first SEC approved INX security token. Ms Szkoda is also a Co-Founder and Chair of the Global Digital Asset & Cryptocurrency Association (Global DCA), a global self-regulatory association for digital assets and cryptocurrency industry.
Prior to joining BFC, Ms. Szkoda was the Director of Finance at Galaxy Digital, Chief Financial Officer at Blue Fire Capital, Chief Financial Officer of KCG Futures, the division of KCG Americas (KCG), a self-clearing futures commission merchant and the Senior Vice President, Accounting and Finance at Rosenthal Collins Group (RCG), a futures commission merchant based in Chicago. Prior to her employment at RCG, Ms. Szkoda was a senior audit manager in the Financial Services Practice Group of RSM McGladrey, providing audit and consulting services to a variety of industry participants, including securities broker-dealers, futures commission merchants (FCMs), hedge funds, investment advisors, market specialists and commodity pools.
Ms. Szkoda is a financial executive with over 20 years of experience in regulated capital markets. She has extensive expertise in finance, clearing, treasury and operations across multiple asset classes including digital assets and derivatives on digital assets, securities, regulated futures contracts, foreign exchange products and other derivative financial instruments. Ms. Szkoda has extensive experience in financial regulation and regulatory reporting including CFTC and SEC net capital rules, SEC customer protection rules, SEC market access rules, CFTC segregation, secured and sequestered rules, anti-money laundering rules (Bank Secrecy Act) as well as the financial requirements of listed derivatives exchanges and the FICC.
Recognizing the need for clarity in the legal and regulatory framework shaping the digital asset space, Ms. Szkoda co-founded Global Digital Assets & Cryptocurrency Association (Global DCA), a self-regulatory association for digital assets to guide the development of the industry and advocate for balanced regulation – supporting innovation in the global financial sector, while protecting consumers and the public.
