Greg Yates

Gregory Yates brings an abundance of value to organizations with his 25-years of experience

across brand, corporate consultancy, media, agency, technology, and research where he has

been responsible for: corporate restructuring, enterprise transformation, business modeling,

brand marketing, communications, advertising, business development, SAAS data & technology development and product evolution. A go-to expert in consulting start-ups across fintech, blockchain, artificial intelligence, data, and cross-vertical products, Greg steps into help mitigate operational challenges, while identifying market opportunities to build and execute growth strategies and measured KPIs.

Currently, Greg is Co-Founder of Sardonyx, a digital asset creation, minting, marketing, trading and crypto consulting studio and most recently Chief Marketing Officer for Institutional Investor, a global media, intelligence, and events company. With Sardonyx, Greg focuses as an advisor on digital assets product and marketing strategy surrounding crypto, DeFi, NFT, subDAO and other Web3 and blockchain applications and protocols. With Institutional Investor, Greg was tasked with digital transformation and organizational growth where he redefined the firm’s value proposition, evolved the culture and operations, revamped its product offering and drove the evolution of the business globally through branding, advertising, data translation and modern technological applications.

Prior, Greg served as CMO for RICG, where he shifted the 28-year-old printing company into

one of the industry’s first neuro-creative agencies, focused on biometric and artificial

intelligence business solutions for well-known brands that include Disney, OppenheimerFunds, Wolters Klewer, NFL and more.

For several years prior, Gregory was CMO at InvestingChannel, where he helped grow the

media startup by revamping the company’s identity, product set, launching a creative services division called “Invent::” and a data-driven intelligence business called “Intuition” that focusedon asset managers and owners. Prior to InvestingChannel, Gregory held senior roles at Fox Interactive Media, Fusion 5, IGN, UGO and Imeem. His creative thinking is informed by his early years in music production at Electric Lady Studios.

Gregory’s work has earned him numerous awards from OMMA, Webby, MFEA, The FCS

Portfolios and The Gramercy Institute’s ‘20 Rising Stars in Financial Marketing’ to ‘Most

Valuable Partner in Financial Services’. Gregory also volunteers his time as a Board Director for the Financial Communications Society, a not-for-profit organization.

When not in the office, you can find Gregory directing music, playing drums and guitar with

“Hot Sugar”, a band of industry peers focused on charity events, producing pop artists,

spending time with his fiancé and their two children and running along the Hudson River. Gregearned B.A. from SUNY Purchase and the University of Connecticut.
