Nirmal AK is the CTO and Co-Founder of Merkle Science, he is responsible for product development, mining and enhancing threat intellgence.He leads the product engineering, data engineering, data science, and intelligence teams. Nirmal AK is also a contributor and key speaker at the Interpol Working Group on darknet and crypto currencies. Nirmal AK is also one of foundational contributors of Blockchain-ETL, one of the largest open-source repositories for Blockchain analytics

Prior to Merkle Science he worked as a fraud scientist at Paypal and Instamojo where he designed ML-based fraud detection and risk management systems for the digital payments ecosystem. The models his team built replaced those put in place by pioneer engineer Max Levchin. Further, at PayPal he also  built  machine learning models and heuristics.Following this, he went on to start an Ethereum hardware mining company, Merkle Root. At Merkle Route, he built and sold mining rigs to the fledgling crypto community of Asia.
