Mr. Louvar has over 25 years of legal and business experience with specific focus on ETFs, innovative products and digital assets.  Mr. Louvar currently serves as WisdomTree’s Chief Legal Officer and Head of Business and Legal Affairs, Digital Assets. This business unit expands well beyond the firm's existing ETF business by leveraging blockchain, crypto, DeFi, and tokenization technology in seeking to deliver transparency, choice, value, and accountability to users around the globe.  Mr. Louvar previously served as General Counsel of WisdomTree Asset Management, Inc. and as the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of the WisdomTree Trust from 2013-2021.  Prior to joining WisdomTree, Mr. Louvar was a Vice President and Senior Managing Counsel at State Street from 2005-2013, where he served as the Chief Legal Officer, Secretary, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer and Code of Ethics Compliance Officer for the SPDR family of ETFs.

Mr. Louvar received an LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University, a J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.S. in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Colorado. He completed the MIT Sloan course “Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application” and the University of Cape Town course “Blockchain and Digital Currency: The Future of Money.”
