Michael Scotti

Michael Scotti is the Editorial Director at TrabbFORUM. A former newspaper reporter, Michael has excelled at covering Wall Street and trading since 1993. That includes 11 years as Editorial Director at Traders Magazine, where he oversaw coverage of a story that won a national journalism award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. The story on hidden or "Flash Orders" won an an Enterprise Reporting award in 2009. Separately, his story, At the Speed of Light, was likely the first ever in-depth feature written on high-frequency trading.
Prior to that, he ran the TraderForum at Institutional Investor. There he ran conferences for buyside traders in both the U.S. and Europe, covering issues relating to trading performance, money management, market structure and trading technology. Michael also worked for an NYSE member firm: He was Director of Client Relations at a floor brokerage unit, KV Execution Services, owned by Bear Wagner Specialists and run by legendary trader John A. Mulheren. Before joining Tabb Group, Michael spent two years as Editoral Director at DTCC, where he headed internal and external communications, including its newsletters.
